CONGRATS to Dr. Brent Sumerlin on being awarded a 2025 POLY Fellows Award

The POLY Fellows Program was established in 2009 to recognize excellence in all ways that POLY members advance our field of polymer science, either through scientific accomplishments, service to the profession, or both. The awards are administered and sponsored by the POLY division of the ACS.

Brent Sumerlin was 1 of 6 awards of the 2025 POLY Fellows Award. He will be honored with a plaque during the Spring ACS National Meeting in San Diego, CA, at the POLY/PMSE Award Ceremony

CONGRATS to Dr. Adam Veige on receiving the V.T. and Louise Jackson Professorship in Chemistry

Professor Adam Veige has received the V.T. and Louise Jackson Professorship in Chemistry. This professorship was made available to the college and department through the generosity of the Livingstone Charitable Foundation, Inc., which was formed by the estate of Betty J. and J. Stanley Livingstone. The Jackson endowment at UF is in honor of V. T. and Louise Jackson, Betty’s parents. V. T. Jackson was a member of the department faculty in the first half of the 20th century.

CONGRATS to Dr. Dan Savin on the 2025 PMSE Distinguished Service award!

The PMSE Distinguished Service Award is given to recognize extensive, sustained contributions and service to the Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering (PMSE) Division.  The first awardee was recognized in 1993, and it has continued as a yearly award.  This year we are proud to announce the 2025 PMSE Distinguished Service Award Winner, Professor Daniel Savin
